My passion to share my art soon outweighed my fear. An unforgettable moment came at age eight when I sang "Over the Rainbow" in a talent show, marking the beginning of my artistic journey. I even stepped into the role of “The Squash” in my classroom’s Halloween play, which sparked a fire that’s burned brightly ever since. My love for music continued in the tender embrace of classical voice training during my college and graduate years. Opera opened a world of wonder, performing La Fée in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte were some of the highlights. However, as much as I loved opera, I found myself irresistibly drawn to musical theatre where I always felt more at home. As Rose in The Carols, Missy in The Marvelous Wonderettes, Marian in The Music Man, Phoebe in A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, I danced through tales woven with music, where every step was a note and every breath a melody- and I never looked back. Currently residing in Philadelphia, I sing weekly at Old St. Joseph’s, the city’s oldest Roman Catholic church. I’m also proud to be a member of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, where I contribute to the city’s vibrant musical landscape. In addition, I teach in my full-sized piano and voice studio, sharing my passion for music with students as they develop their own artistic voices. Being an artist is often a journey filled with uncertainty, highs, and lows, but it’s one that brings a deep sense of purpose and adventure to my life. The notes on the page will most definitely make more sense if you understand the way in which they are all connected therefore making it easier to learn. Singing lessons are about unlocking techniques you never realized your voice was capable of, leading you to express yourself as freely as possible through singing. Whether it’s college entrance auditions, NATS, or local theatre production, I am here to help you have a successful audition. We will go over how to prepare mentally and how to make sure the repertoire is ready as well. Through ear training courses, we will learn the basics of solfege and intervals and apply them to sight singing. Lessons are offered weekly and can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes. As soon as a solid foundation of reading music is built, we will begin to learn repertoire chosen completely by the student. Whether it’s Mozart, Chopin, Simon & Garfunkel, Sara Bareilles, or Disney, what’s most important is that we find something that speaks to you!
